4th QSC Junior Day
The Quantum Software Consortium (QSC) brings together scientists with backgrounds in computer science, mathematics, engineering and physics. To that end, the 4th QSC Junior Day will be held on Tuesday, September 28. We invite all junior researchers (Masters, PhD students, Post-Docs) to join us on this exciting day full of informal interaction, interesting talks and more.
We will start off at 10:00 in a conference room at the TU Delft. Then we will give the stage to Tom O’Brien, who will talk about what it is like to work in quantum industry, specifically at Google. After that there will be some time to mingle and chat in smaller groups in order to get to know each other better. Subsequently, we will have the pleasure to welcome Ronald Hanson, who will enlighten us about Quantum Delta NL. After so much food for thought it will be time for real food, which will be provided by us.
We will start the afternoon with another talk by Tom van Rens from NWO giving us essential insights about how research funding works in the Netherlands (in case you’ll need it in the future). Towards the end of the day QSC's infamous Prof. Crackpotus Notorious will give some real-life advice about research. Finally, we can take a view behind the curtains and will visit some of the quantum laboratories of the TU Delft. And, of course, we will end the day adequately with some pizza and beer!
The current Covid-19 regulations set out by the government make it mandatory to wear a face mask when moving around university buildings. It is therefore important that you to bring your own face mask to the event and that you adhere to the social distancing guidelines that are in place on the day of the event.
Please have a look at the flyer below for the detailed schedule. We are looking forward to seeing many of you soon at the 4th QSC Junior Day!
