Abel Price laureates lectures: Lovász and Wigderson.

On April 8, CWI organizes an event with lectures by the two Abel Prize laureates, together with three accompanying talks by researchers inspired by the achievements of László Lovász and Avi Wigderson.

In 2021 Avi Wigderson and László Lovász shared the Abel Prize “for their foundational contributions to theoretical computer science and discrete mathematics, and their leading role in shaping them into central fields of modern mathematics."

We are organizing at CWI a hybrid event: (for now) limited seating is available in the Turing room and a live video stream will also be offered. Thisevent is freely accessible after registration. Please also register when you want to join the event via the live stream – we will then send you the link on the day of the event.

The Abel Prize Laureates Lectures at CWI take place in the afternoon of Friday 28 January 2022 and are coupled with lectures by the two laureates at the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) in the evening of Thursday 27 January 2022.

The lectures at KNAW are aimed at a general public audience, while those at CWI are directed to scientists. For

information about the KNAW Evening of the Abel Prize 2021 and on how to participate check the KNAW website.
