Applied Quantum Methods in Computational Science and Engineering will take place in Delft.
Following the successful launch of the AQMCSE conference series—Applied Quantum Methods in Computational Science and Engineering—last fall at RWTH Aachen, we are pleased to announce that this year’s edition will take place in Delft from 14–17 September 2026.
We aim to preserve the collaborative spirit of the inaugural meeting: a forum to share deep insights, exchange ideas, and openly discuss setbacks and limitations. We believe that developing meaningful quantum applications requires a coordinated effort from the community as a whole.
AQMCSE 2026 will follow a format similar to the first edition, featuring keynote presentations by leading experts in quantum computing and quantum annealing, thematically organized poster sessions, and parallel tracks of contributed talks. We warmly welcome submissions on applied quantum methods in, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Quantum computing in computational mechanics
- Quantum computing in computational fluid dynamics
- Quantum computing in materials science
- Quantum machine learning
- Quantum computer vision
- Quantum chemistry and condensed matter physics
- Quantum computing in electrical grids and power flow
- Quantum computing in signal processing and geophysics
- Quantum computing in network applications and telecommunications
- Quantum computing in space applications
- Quantum computing in finance applications
- Quantum computing in other emerging domains
- Quantum methods for real-world applications
- Quantum-inspired algorithms
- Insights from failure
If you have not yet done so, we kindly invite you to submit an extended abstract no later than 30 April 2026 via the online submission system: https://aqmcse2026.dryfta.com/call-for-abstracts
Should you have any questions regarding the abstract submission procedure or the conference in general, please do not hesitate to contact the organizing committee.
We look forward to welcoming you to Delft this fall.
Kind regards,
The AQMCSE 2026 Organizing Committee
Matthias Möller (TU Delft)
Norbert Hosters (RWTH Aachen)
Marcin Dukalski (TNO)
