Bas Edixhoven Memorial Symposium
We are writing to announce the Bas Edixhoven Memorial Symposium to be held at Leiden University
on the afternoon of Friday, 2 June 2023. The symposium will be aimed at a broad mathematical audience.
The afternoon will feature talks by Hendrik Lenstra and Jaap Top on mathematics with connections to art,
a topic that Bas was particularly fond of. Hendrik Lenstra will talk about a famous print of Escher, and Jaap
Top's talk will include Bas' own take on a sculpture that he had seen in the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao.
There will be drinks afterwards.

of the venue. The registration is open until at least 15 May.
